So You Want a Career in the Arts?



The Orange County Arts Council continues the 2010 Series, What Every Artist Wants to Know, but is Afraid to Ask. So You Want a Career in the Arts? is scheduled for Tuesday, November 28th from 6:30-9pm. The workshop, sponsored by Jacobowitz and Cubits, will be held at the Arts Council office, 23 White Oaks Drive, Sugar Loaf. This workshop is free of charge for High School and College Students with ID, artist and organization member of the Arts Council, and $15 for the general public.

So You Want a Career in the Arts? Is geared towards high school and college age students who are thinking about a career in the arts. Come and talk to panelists in Music, Theatre, Dance, Visual Arts, Literary, Fashion Design, Technical Theatre, Film, and Photography. The workshop, expanded to 2 ½ hours, includes a 60 minute presentation by the panelists, a 60 minute session of small group discus sion, and a 30 minute Q&A. When registering, please let indicate what disciplines you are interested. Seating is limited and reservations are encouraged.

The Orange County Arts Council is a non-profit arts service organization dedicated to strengthening the Arts in Orange County by providing educational, promotional and informational services to artists, arts organizations and the community. The Council also works to facilitate relationships between the arts, schools, businesses, government and the public through its various programs. These include: Arts for Vets, Arts in Education, Annual Arts Awards, Advocacy, Workshops & Seminars and Town Meetings & Artist Mixers.
