Cornwall - On Sunday, April 19 at 10 a.m. the Nature Museum will be hosting: Salamanders at the Outdoor Discovery Center, on Muser Drive, across from 174 Angola Road, Cornwall. Come join environmental educator Carl Heitmuller to discover fascinating facts and fiction about the habits, habitats and life cycles of salamanders. “Salamanders are nocturnal; they spend their days hiding under leaf litter or logs, or inside abandoned rodent burrows,” Heitmuller said. “At night, salamanders emerge to search for food like worms, slugs, spiders and other invertebrates.” As winter fades, the lives of these creatures are reborn. Weather permitting join Carl for a short hike in search of these amazing creatures. Admission: $7/Adult. $5/Children. Museum Members: $5/Adult, $3/Children. For information visit the museum’s website at hhnm.org or call 845-534-5506, ext. 204.
