Holiday Hours at the Nature Museum

| Meet the Animals Face-to-Face |
The Hudson Highlands Nature Museum will be open extra hours during the Thanksgiving vacation and its staff is encouraging visitors to consider becoming an animal sponsor, underwriting the cost of care for one of the dozens of critters in the museum’s expert care.
At the museum’s Wildlife Education Center on the Boulevard in Cornwall-on-Hudson you can see the owls, frogs, snakes, and rabbits that can no longer live in the wild. Each one of them plays an important role in teaching people about wildlife by being on exhibit or assisting with educational programs.
Animal sponsorships are vital to the museum and help support the needs of the animals. Sponsorship packages begin at $20 and are valid for one full year.
Sponsors will be able to choose the animal(s) they wish to sponsor and will receive a certificate, a photo and a fact sheet to take home.
Stop by and meet these animals this Thanksgiving weekend during the museum’s extended hours. The Wildlife Center will be open from 12 noon until 4 p.m. on Friday, Saturday and Sunday, November 28 through November 30. Each day there will be two special holiday “Meet the Animals” programs at 1 p.m. and 2:30 p.m. There will also be special crafts for children.Museum admission is $3 per person. Members and children under three are free. For more information please call 845-534-5506, ext. 204. Visit the Museum’s website at www.hhnaturemuseum.org (click on animal sponsorship) to see a listing of all the species that live at the Wildlife Education Center.
