Moodna Creek Tree Planting
|
| How big is your tree? |
Several hundred small trees and shrubs that need to be planted along the Moodna Creek as part of the Hudson River Estuary Program's Trees for Tribs initiative. The holes are already dug so the work is relatively quick and easy. This is a rain or shine event -- bring gloves and dress for the weather. Pizza and drinks might be served, weather permitting.
Meeting location: Otterkilll Road parking lot, just west of the Moodna Viaduct railroad trestle in Cornwall (which is between Jackson Avenue and Clove Road). From the parking lot, walk north through the field, towards the Moodna Creek (walk parallel to the Viaduct) and look for us. This is the parking lot for the Schunnemunk Mt. State Park trailhead.
