Neighbors Helping Neighbors
Learn more about how neighbors can help neighbors
CORNWALL, NY – The Cornwall Public Library will be hosting a very special program on Monday, October 8 at 4:00pm entitled Call for Volunteers: Neighbors Helping Neighbors. The Friendly Visitor Program trains and matches volunteers with neighbors who need help and operates in partnership with Jewish Family Service and the Office of the Aging, both of Orange County. Many older adults are choosing to age in the comfort of their own homes. Volunteers who can provide rides to appointments, food shopping, etc. can foster better physical and mental health for seniors. This presentation would be beneficial to anyone who is interested in learning more, whether they wish to volunteer or know of someone who might benefit from the program. The program will be presented by Paula Blumenau.
