Watershed Planning Across Political Boundaries: A Workshop on Intermunicipal Collaboration
Organized and sponsored by the Hudson River Watershed Alliance, Hudson River Estuary Program of the NYS DEC, MidHudson Geosciences and the Center for Research Regional Education and Outreach at SUNY New Paltz, this full-day free workshop is an opportunity for you to learn about successful intermunicipal partnerships, as well as incentives and regulatory reasons for your watershed municipalities to collaborate.
Topics to be covered: Status of tributaries and watershed planning in the Hudson BasinWatershed based planning and zoning, Considering local challenges within the watershed framework and watershed planning, Intermunicipal Agreements & Structures, Sustainable funding mechanisms and strategies, Presentations from existing Intermunicipal Watershed Councils.
