Plant a Tree on the Moodna
|
| How big is your tree? |
The Hudson River Estuary Program is sponsoring a tree planting project along the Moodna Creek from 9 am - 3 pm. This project is designed to help enhance the streamside buffer of the Creek to protect water quality and wildlife habitat.
This is a great activity for families, students and everyone else. The holes will all be dug ahead of time, so planting the trees is very easy and is not hard work. Please come for whatever part of the day you are available. Bring gloves and dress for the weather. This is a rain or shine event.
Pizza and drinks will be provided for all participants at lunchtime.
The meeting location is on Otterkill Road in Cornwall, N.Y., about 1/4 mile east of the parking area and trailhead for Schunnemunk Mountain State Park, and just west of the intersection of Otterkill Road and Jackson Avenue.
RSVPs are appreciated. For more information or to RSVP, contact Simon Gruber at [email protected] or 845-534-5622.
