GARDEN CLUB PLANT SALE ON MAY 7, 2022
Cornwall, N.Y. ----- Spring is here and that means it’s time for the Cornwall Garden Club’s annual Plant Sale. Come join club members on Saturday, May 7, from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the park grounds in front of the Cornwall Town Hall and get your spring gardening off to a great start.
Back on the schedule for the Plant Sale is the club’s homemade baked goods table. “We’ll have a variety of treats baked by our club members. And you are sure to find something delicious for your Mother’s Day brunch,” said Denise Nichols,
co-president of the Cornwall Garden Club.
Nichols added that the club will be selling annuals, perennials, herbs, tomatoes and assorted other vegetable plants. Club members, including Master Gardeners, will be on site to answer your gardening questions and to help you plan your flower beds or vegetable gardens.
Hanging baskets are always a highlight of the sale. “Hanging baskets make a wonderful Mother’s Day gift – one size fits all,” said club co-president Virginia Scott. She pointed out that the funds raised at the plant sale are used by the club for community projects such as the plantings at the Village Bandstand and Chadeayne Circle, the Sands Ring herb garden, the Arbor Day tree planting and the Main Street planters. “The community can help us make Cornwall a more beautiful place by supporting our plant sale on Sat., May 7,” said Scott. “We look forward to seeing all.”
