The Wizard of Oz
Mount Saint Mary College will host the American Family Theatre as they perform their child-friendly version of the classic musical, The Wizard of Oz, at 2 p.m., Sunday in Aquinas Theatre.
The story follows Dorothy and her three friends, the Scarecrow, the Tin Man and the Cowardly Lion, as they stroll down the yellow brick road toward the Wizard of Oz, whom they believe can grant their wishes and help Dorothy return home.
The American Family Theatre is well-known for producing musicals for young audiences. They perform nearly 300 shows each year at universities, public schools, and performing arts centers. Some of their performances have included: Beauty and the Beast, Alice in Wonderland, and Anne Frank: A Voice Heard.
