Spring Break Art Program
A unique Spring Break Art Program is being offered for children in grades four through six from 9:30 a.m. until 12 p.m ., at the Hudson Highlands Nature Museum’s Outdoor Discovery Center, 20 Kenridge Farm Drive, Route 9W, Cornwall.
Children will explore the natural world through art and poetry with artist Barbara Smith Gioia. Create a handmade book to hold their works of art inspired by nature. Students will be learning watercolor. Collage, and printmaking techniques, and will be introduced to haiku poetry and suminagashi – the ancient art of paper marbling. Artwork will be bound together as a book of pictures and poetry celebrating nature.
