Staying Healthy and Maintaining Independence
Multi-generational audience can learn about aging in the home
CORNWALL, NY – Cornwall Public Library will host a health and wellness program, Aging at Home: Staying Healthy and Maintaining Independence on Thursday, November 2 at 6:00pm. J. Scott Teresi, President of Right at Home Hudson Valley, will be discussing: the keys to health and maintaining independence in an individual’s own home; how to avoid the top non-medical reasons for hospitalizations; what household hazards put the aging adult’s independence at risk; and in-home modifications to make aging at home easier.
Right at Home provides home care services and assistance to older and disabled adults. Their caregivers offer round-the-clock care for seniors and elders in the Hudson Valley area, including home health aides and companion caregivers who are trained to provide Alzheimer’s and dementia care services, non-medical assistance, respite care, and much more.
