Arrests
07/24/21 A 20 yr old female from Salisbury Mills, Ny was arrested and charged with possession of a controlled substance in the 7th degree.
08/08/21 Juan Escamilla-Silvas, age 36, of Westbury, NY was arrested and charged with 2 DWI charges.
Incidents
07/19/21 Police and Fire Dept respond to a home on willow Ave for a report of a structure fire and find food burning on a stove and resident of home asleep.
07/19/21 Police respond to Angola Rd for a tree across the roadway which also fell on a vehicle causing damage.
07/19/21 Police respond to Otterkill Rd for a complaint about a driver of a gray Jeep masturbating in his vehicle after spoke to the caller. The caller decided not to press charges.
07/20/21 Police receive a report of a vehicle taking down wires while driving down Main St. Police secured wires and caller called cable company.
07/24/21 A loose dog was turned in to Police and then returned to its home.
07/26/21 Police respond to Long Hill Rd Ext for a report of a Haul van parked with no one around it. Police found a deceased male with a FL drivers license who had possibly succumbed to carbon monoxide poisoning. Police found charcoal coals that had been lit and all of the windows and doors were up.
07/27/21 Police take a report of larceny. Someone removed 3 batteries from a truck.
08/01/21 Police and SM Fire Dept respond to Morris Lane for smoke coming from a house. The fire was in mulch and was contained.
08/02/21 Police take a report of criminal mischief. The complainants vehicle was targeted on 2 separate occasions.
08/03/21 Police respond to Angola Rd for a neighbor dispute and a report of a neighbor filming a minor.
08/10/21 Several trees came down on wires on Mineral Springs Rd. Central Hudson notified of situation.
08/10/21 Sergeant Gebert attended COVAC monthly meeting as a guest speaker. Topic of discussion was the safe and efficient use of emergency response vehicles.
08/12/21 Caller stated that her mailbox was struck and damaged overnight.
08/13/21 A purse was stolen from a car on Rt 218 and Police took a report of possible use of a stolen credit card at Cumberland Farms.
