Erick L. Gilmore, 40, of Cornwall, NY, passed away unexpectedly on July 6, 2020. The son of William and Linda Gilmore he was born at St. Luke’s Hospital in Newburgh on August 26, 1979.
Erick graduated Cornwall Central High School. He competed at World Taekwondo Championships of West Point, and also played soccer for several years. His hobbies included collecting artifacts and jewelry from various cultures around the world. Erick was a member of the Cornwall United Methodist Church.
He is survived by his parents, William Gilmore of Cornwall and Linda Gilmore of Florida; his brother, Randy Gilmore of Florida; and his dog Journey. He was predeceased by his grandparents, Janice and Robert Gilmore of Cornwall, NY, and George and Gladys Tibby of New Windsor, NY.
A service will be held on Thursday, July 16 at 5 p.m at the Cornwall United Methodist Church, 196 Main St., Cornwall, NY.
