Arrests

03/14/20 Jonathan M Lopez, age 31, of Cornwall, NY was arrested and charged with aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle in the 2nd degree, an interlock violation, speeding in a posted zone and unlicensed driver charge.

Incidents
03/10/20 A caller reported that someone came on to her property and put a lock on her solar panel units. Police advised complainant of her options.
03/11/20 A caller reported a vehicle on the side of the road on Rt 9W. Police had the vehicle towed away.
03/11/20 A caller complained that someone keeps going through their recycling. Police advise them that if recycling is on the street it is open to the public.
03/15/20 Police and COVAC respond to a a report of a male who fell down a ravine and obtained a laceration to his head.
03/16/20 A caller reported that 30-40 Chinese lanterns with fire inside were being sent into the sky with some not making it, concern for some landing on cars and trees. Police respond and advise subjects.
03/17/20 A caller reported trespassing, 3 males were walking on her property who were attempting to walk on Black Rock property.
03/21/20 Caller reported kids riding gold cart on school property. Kids and cart located, parents contacted and vehicle brought home.
03/24/20 A salon owner reported a burglary in the past of $12,000 worth of hair products. The owner said the unknown person damaged the rear lockset but that her son changed the lock and then she threw it out. The owner made a similar complaint to Town of New Windsor in 2016 with the same proceeds missing. The owner could not produce receipts, damaged lockset or any information on current or former employees. She also did not produce her son’s phone number or security video footage.
03/27/20 Police locate an open burn and advise the homeowner of the burn ban and to extinguish the fire.
