What New York’s Child Victims Act Means for the Hudson Valley

Senator Skooufis is partnering with the Zero Abuse Project, a leading national nonprofit dedicated to stopping child sexual abuse, as well as a number of local child advocacy partners, including the New York State Children’s Alliance, to host the seminar, entitled Courageous Conversations, Critical Choices: What New York’s Child Victims Act Means for the Hudson Valley.
The experts at Zero Abuse will lead a discussion to help victim services providers, survivors of child sexual abuse, and the general public understand the changes to the statute of limitations under the new law, what options survivors have to find justice, how to begin the process of filing a lawsuit, and more. The Orange County District Attorney will also have represenatives present.
