Letters to the Editor: Election 2018: Support for James Skoufis

August 02, 2018

 Dear Fellow Voters-

This letter is intended to express my strong support for current Assemblyman James Skoufis to replace State Senator Bill Larkin who is retiring. Yes, the two men represent two different political parties, but they have both demonstrated an ability to serve all the constituents in their respective offices. I would like to have a representative in the State Senate who will continue that, and James Skoufis is the right person for the job.

The proof is the many times Larkin and Skoufis have worked together to deliver for their shared communities, especially when it comes to fighting for needed funding for our local school districts. They have also worked together across party lines on efforts like expanding the state's organ donor list, helping students with disabilities and advocating for local infrastructure needs. These are things that effect all of us in our community.

I encourage residents of the in the 39th State Senate district to look past the silliness and hyper-partisanship of the politics and look at the candidates' records. All you have to do is Google "Larkin and Skoufis" and you can read about all the bipartisan work they have done for our community. Senator Larkin has a great run, now it's time for James Skoufis to continue the tradition of delivering for us in the Senate.

Sincerely,

Carolyn Pallister-Kulic
New Windsor, NY
