General News: Library Budget for 2013 Up for a Vote

April 09, 2013

BUDGET VOTE
TUESDAY, APRIL 9
10 a.m. to 9 p.m.
Vote on the 2013/2014 proposed operating budget and for the candidate for one trustee position. Voting takes place in the library. Library will remain open until 9.

Suzanne Vizethann, the one candidate for the trustee position, answered a few questions for Cornwall-ny.com:

1. Why are you running for a position as library trustee?
I believe the library is a vital part of our community and I would like to ensure it remains as such. Serving as a trustee will provide me the opportunity to help support & promote the library within our community.
2. Why do you think that you can make a difference in the library's future?
I will work with the community and current board members to support existing library programs and look to develop programs and services that will continue to benefit all members of our community. The Cornwall Public Library serves its patrons with a variety of traditional and technological resources and I look forward to working with all members of the library to ensure the continued growth and development of these resources.
3. Tell us a bit about yourself.
I am an active member of our community and along with my husband and children, have enjoyed volunteering and supporting a variety of community events.
Professionally I am employed as a clinical social worker for Dr. Michele Winchester Vega & Associates. When I am not working I enjoy watching my children participate in their sporting events, I also enjoy sewing, exercising and reading.
