General News: Girl Scouts Plan 100th Birthday Party Monday

It’s been one hundred years since Juliette Gordon Low held the first Girl Scout meeting at her home in Savanah, Ga., a move that led to the start of a nationwide organization.
This Monday, March 12, 2012, all current and former members of the Girl Scouts and their families are invited ro gather at Ring’s Pond to honor 100 Years of the Girl Scouts. The program begins shortly before 7 pm and participants should arrive at 6:40 pm.
“Girl Scouts Past, Present and Future” is the name of the program designed to celebrate the wisdom, courage and dedication of girls. Participants are asked to bring a votive candle, and to print out the words below to the Girl Scout Promise, Make New Friends and The Brownie Smile, three stalwarts of the Girl Scouts.
Print these out and take them with you:
