General News: McQuade Children's Services Benefits from Holiday
December 03, 2006
The holidays are a time for giving, each in their own way. This year, Bettina Strum Carter, owner of Bettina Louise's Fine Jewelry, has decided to give ten percent of proceeds during her busiest season to McQuade Children's Services treatment center.
Bettina is a member of the Board of Directors of McQuade and she feels passionately about the charity’s mission of helping special needs children survive emotional, educational or family crises and giving them the skills to achieve stability and success.
Bettina invites everyone into her shop between now and December 9 to learn about McQuade and to view the sparkling jewels and precious metals on display.
“Both my clientele and McQuade will benefit from being introduced to each other. It is heartwarming to know that such an organization is here to help our Hudson Valley children, and I’m proud to help spread the word,” said Bettina.
On December 9 Bettina Louise's is joining her new neighbors, 2 Alices Coffee Lounge and Thomas Edward's hair design and wellness spa, in an open house at their building, 311 Hudson, from 6 to 10 p.m.
