As a Town resident I would not presume to offer advice to the Village Board, but if I were a village resident I would suggest they end their search for a chief right there.

I agree with Joe Ward. I had the pleasure of working with Sgt Dixon over the past ten years for the Town of Cornwall Police Department. He is the right guy to lead the village police Department. While I'm sad to see him leave the Town Police Force I'm glad to be able to still work with him right down the street. Good luck to you Steve with your new job.

I too mirror the comments made by Joe Ward and Steve Bedetti. Having worked for the Town as well as the Village, I had the pleasure of dealing with Sgt. Dixon on a regular basis. Steve will be a true assett to the Village force, and hopefully will be given the opportunity to serve as their next Chief of Police... Congratulations to the Cornwall on Hudson PD and residents, you have gained a true gentleman!!!
