More phonebooks were delivered this weekend |
November 21, 2006
If you have an opinion about the phonebooks dropped in your driveway or on your lawn throughout the year, you will have an opportunity to speak to the Village Board on Monday, December 18.
The Village Board of Trustees is moving ahead with a new law that would allow residents to put their names on a registry if they do not want to receive these books. Any telephone company distributing phonebooks to village residents would have to come to the village hall, register, and receive a copy of the list of people who don’t want the books.
Following the public hearing, the trustees will vote on the law. Once it is in effect, the village will contact the companies currently distributing books in the area and alert them to the new requirements.
