General News: Autism Benefit at Photo Studio

Bring a sweetie to this autism benefit photo shoot.
Bring a sweetie to this autism benefit photo shoot.
November 10, 2010

James and Liz Ferrara, of J Ferrara photo studio, invite the public to help raise funds for the Autism Move-a-Thon of Orange County by taking part in this year's benefit entitled SWEETIE on Saturday, November 13th only from 9am to 6pm at J.Ferrara's studio.

Bring your children, yourself, or both and something that is sweet to you: a toy, candy, flower, doll, photo- anything that's dear to you that can be held next to your face.

James Ferrara says that just like last year, you'll be able to view the images as they are captured. However, to help speed up the process, you will not decide on the final print to be mounted. He will include an 8x10 mounted print credit on Pictage.com (it's called a stand out print). All the images from the event will be posted within 10 days. You will choose the image you want on line. This will certainly make the day run faster.

Keep in mind that the studio is at a new location: 263 Main Street, Cornwall. You can park anywhere on the street, or in the municipal lot just up the road.

The lighting for this event will be set up only to capture one person's face at a time so no groups, sorry. Also, the shoot will take just minutes, so no appointment needed- just come in. And for the little ones, it may be a good idea to hide the sweet object until they are in front of the camera. SWEETIE is open to all! For those who have special needs, call the studio for a scheduled appointment time.

The cost will be $65 per sitting- and for additional family members $60 per person. This sitting fee will include the credit for a color mounted print of each person photographed. All proceeds go to the Autism Move-a-Thon of Orange County NY. Formed in 2004, AMOC strives to support families who cope with Autism and related disorders.
