Is the equestrian center at the New York Military Academy for sale? Apparently not, despite a flashy ad that appeared yesterday on Craigslist under the category “for sale/wanted.”
Cornwall town supervisor Kevin Quigley said that after he heard about the ad on Thursday morning he spoke with officials at the military academy who told him the stables and 35 acres described in the ad are not for sale. Quigley said the academy is looking for someone to operate the equestrian center, take care of six horses and build a riding program for cadets and area residents.
The 8,000 square foot stable includes an apartment and could be a residence for anyone who wants to help NYMA turn the horse stable into a thriving operation.
