What's so cool when it's hot, hot, HOT? Well yes, Zoom Floom Water Park ("You Gotta Go!"), but there are other things to do on a hot summer day. Can't think of anything? Let me help you out. Here is a list of seven fun-filled activities that kids, teens and their parents can do all together!

"Summer Fun The Way We Want It" List:

1. SplashDown WaterPark
Going to Splash Down Water Park is a terrific way to spend a hot summer day. It has everything, including the Wave Pool, Coconut Pool, Hamunga Half Pipe and Pirates Plunge. Plus, Croc Creek and ShipWreck Lagoon for the little ones. All season passes are now available. Go to www.splashdownbeach.com/ and get your "SPLASH" on!

2. Warwick Drive-In
Do you enjoy cozy backseats, blankets, popcorn and most of all, spending time with your family? Well then the drive-in is the place to go! The Warwick Drive-in Theatre brings back the old memories and creates new ones. Check it out online webusers.warwick.net/~u1006131/driveinmovie/playing.htm.
Now Playing: Inception, Sorcerer's Apprentice, Grown Ups, Despicable Me, The Last Airbender

P.S. Don't forget the bugspray!

3. Hudson Valley Renegades Games

You ready for fun that is "outta the park"? Then run down to the Hudson Valley Renegades Game. Fun for the kids and the adults. Games are going on all summer, so get your tickets now before they are sold out!  www.hvrenegades.com/

4. Storm King Art Center
If you are looking for a more educational day out, consider going to the Storm King Art Center. The sculptures are amazing and it's fun to learn about art when you are with the people you love. You can picnic there, too. stormkingartcenter.com/

5. Storm King Adventure Tours

Do you and your family really love the outdoors? Well, then why not go on adventure together? You can do everything from kayaks to bikes and hikes. It's fun out in the sun! www.stormkingadventuretours.com

6. Weir's
Where is the coolest and yummiest place in Orange County? Why it's Weir's Family Ice cream shop on Route 94 in Salisbury Mills. Ice cream that can bring whole neighborhoods together. Invite a group of school friends and neighbors to come and have a great big reunion there. You will be happy you did.

7. The New York Renaissance Festival
Costumes, jousting and mutton! What more could you want? Starting on August 7, this magical medieval festival is the very thing you need to complete your summer list! Dress up and bring the kids down for face painting, dress up and fun rides. Also entertainment for the parents! Get your tickets now at: www.renfair.com/NY/

Happy Summer

Comments:

I just had to comment on Storm King Adventure Tours. Our family took one trip and we are hooked. It was absolute great fun. Next up for us is the Bannerman Island Hard Hat tour. Chris runs a class outfit with new kayaks and experienced guides. It's a real plus to have them in our village.
