The Cyclones lost their season opener to the North Salem Twisters 3-0. The game remained scoreless until five minutes before the half, when North Salem squeezed one by Cornwall's keeper, Siobhan Lyons, who had an awesome day in the net.  Olivia Tellefsen anchored the defense along with Jessica McGowan, Rose Foody and Krissy McGonnigle.  Rebecca Baumel and Meaghan Shapiro led Cornwall's offense. The game remained 1-0 until the final minutes of the game when the out-manned Cyclones let two more goals slip by.

The GU15 Sabres posted their first shutout of the season by defeating Hudson Valley United GU18 by a score of 2-0.  The collective efforts of Tiffany Herrera, Briana Stadler, and Jamie Rosenberg on offense kept the pressure on throughout the game. Carly Tice and Erin Kearns were unstoppable and produced the winning goals for Cornwall. Strong midfield performances from Alejandra Cordero, Courtney Murphy, Melissa Mariani and Andrea Mancuso.  The defense, including Kayla Brewer, Amanda Fasano, Julia Mundy, Kristen Condosta and Hannah Merlo, played in control and with precision. Exceptional goalie saves by Gabby Chamberland.

The Cornwall Cobras are off to a roaring start with a 4-0 victory over the Carmel Hurricanes. The team showed how well balanced they are when it comes to scoring. Trace Toweson, Cameron Growney, Henry Flores and Liam Evans each tallied goals while Morgan Van Ledtje, Connor Doyle and Joseph Maddalena teased everyone with near misses. Will Leonard was the wall that could not be breached as he calmly shut down numerous attacks with poise. One additional highlight of the day was the big time penalty save made by Liam Evans late in the game.
