The library offers computer programming basics for adults
CORNWALL, NY – Have you ever thought about learning to code, but don’t have time for a full course? Now’s your chance! The Cornwall Public Library will hold an Hour of Code program for adults on Saturday, January 23rd, from 10:00 to 11:00am. In December, the library took part in the global event Hour of Code – a one hour introduction to computer science designed to demystify code and show that anybody can learn the basics. The turn-out for the event – geared towards students – was extremely successful. Many adults who watched their kids become enthralled with the tutorials, expressed interest in attending an event themselves.
Hour of Code is a great way to experience computer science in a fun and creative setting. There are options for every age and experience-level, so anyone can participate. Above all, what all participants can learn in an hour is that they can do this.
Space is limited, so registration is required. To register you may call the library at 845-534-8282 or stop in anytime. The library will provide laptops and tablets, but registrants should feel free to bring their own device, as supplies are limited.
