November 06, 2008

MIGHTY MITES-GREEN
The Green MM Dragons played their final season game against the Wallkill team.  Offensive standouts were Cameron Franke, Ryan Ruiz and Michael Incognoli. Dan Leach and Dan Heffner also took turns at running backs, and Jake Lynch at Center, made some great blocks.  Great defense was played by Greg Moretto with two TD saving tackles, Brian Hussey, Sal Soma, and Justin Hart. Tim Cartright and Jon Velez provided some great blocking up front. The coaching staff is very proud of the effort this year of our Green MM Dragons.

MIGHTY MITES-WHITE
The Mighty Mites White Dragons finished out the season by beating undefeated Newburgh 24-18. Mike Feeney & Zack Saufl made key blocks that helped Ryan O’Dea & Shane O’Dea score 2 touchdowns each. The defense led by Matt Raynor, James Murphy, Victor Maldonado, Steve Gazzillo, John Brady, Shane Conway & Tyler Conway stopped a very tough Newburgh offense. It was a pleasure coaching such a great group of boys, we had an amazing season! Special thanks to the Cornwall Cheerleaders that helped support our team with their praise & great enthusiasm.

DIVISION I- WHITE
The White Dragons finished their season with an impressive 18-0 win over Newburgh. Scoring for the Dragons were Kyle O’Brien with 2 TD’s and Matt Krafft. The defensive efforts of Ian Engenito, Danny Ricco, Spencer Lupo, Justin Cerone, Danny Catell and Seth Goitia kept Newburgh scoreless. Offensively, Jacob Decker had a great day at QB and Matthew Carton had an impressive 12-yard pick-up on 3rd down. Impressive blocking by Jordan Bell and Patrick Donovan contributed to the win.  Overall great team effort by Thomas Keller, Gabrielle Kurtz, Colin Cassidy, Michael Cassidy, John Cassidy and Josh Halvorsen.

DIVISION II
The White Dragons finished their year with a 34-13 loss to Goshen.  After spending seven weeks on the sidelines with a broken foot, Brendan Fisher made his season debut.  Fish was in on several plays at safety.  Scott Brusseler scored the first TD when he took a Michael Reilly screen pass and ran 10 yards for the score.  Jessie Santafemia scored the second TD when he ran seven yards behind Nick Krafft, Tyler Trieste, Nick Russo, and Brendan Rose.  Charles Manzari, Richard Thorpe, and Danny Malvey played well on defense
