General News: Minor Injuries in Car Accident

A Cornwall high school senior suffered minor injuries Friday evening in a three-car accident at the intersection of Dragon Drive and Route 94 in New Windsor.
Carly Marshall, a star swimmer on the Cornwall swim team, had just left a celebration moments earlier where the senior swimmers were being honored by the teammates, coaches and parents. Earlier in the afternoon, she was part of a four-swimmer relay team that qualified to enter the state championships in two events, a goal the swimmers had been pursuing for several weeks.
Marshall was injured when she tried to turn left out of Dragon Drive and was struck by a vehicle that was crossing Route 9$ from Mount Airy Road, according to Cornwall police.
The driver of the car behind her, Madeline Llocurto, also suffered minor injuries,. Both drivers were taken to St. Luke’s Cornwall hospital.
