General News: Major Softball Team Scores Another Victory

The girls major softball team won another game on Monday. Emily Casey threw a 3-hitter to take Cornwall to a 9-0 win over Minisink.
Cornwall took a 2-0 lead after Cassie Browne's base hit scored Olivia Jebb and Caroline Staudle. Cassie Browne came back up in the second inning and launched another hit into right field placing another RBI on the board for Cornwall.
Ally Galati finished the inning with another RBI scoring Caroline Staudle. It wasn't until top of the fifth Cornwall picked up three more runs taking the lead 7-0. Cassie Browne ended the sixth inning with a triple scoring an RBI and then stole home giving Cornwall a 9-0 win. Cornwall will play again Thursday in Warwick at 6:30pm.
HITS: Ally Galati was three for three, 2 RBI's.
Caroline Staudle three for three.
Cassie Browne had two base hits, one double, one triple for 4 RBI's.
Olivia Jebb had two base hits.
