Fire and police units responded on Thursday afternoon to a report of a smell of gas at the Cumberland Farms store in Cornwall-on-Hudson.
A clerk at the store called in the alarm about 3:30 p.m. after smelling a strong odor of gas at the convenience store and gas station on Hudson Street. Two vehicles from the Storm King Fire Engine Company #2 responded to the call and firemen checked the building and vents for a source of the fumes without finding any hazardous conditions.
