Two hundred and thirty six students received diplomas at a graduation ceremony Friday evening at Cornwall Central High School.
As the sun dropped low in the sky and winds buffeted the crowd, school officials praised the graduates and students serenaded.
Class valedictorian Jesse Catalano began his speech in French before reflecting on broader themes in English.
Local photographer Frank Ostrander took these photos of the graduation ceremony and of his daughter, Katrina. Like most of those who graduated on Friday, Katrina is full of plans and dreams. She plans to study French, Japanese, English and computer graphics next year at Wittenberg University in Ohio. Her goal is to become an editor of an Anime magazine in Japan.
