The residents of Duncan Ave. came together Saturday afternoon, June 16th, for the first annual block party and a wonderful time was had by all. It was well attended by over seventy five neighbors who came for an afternoon filled with food, laughter, and fun.
The idea for a block party originated with Trisha and John Wenz, Jacki and Rich Gaillard, Jane & Tom Peterson, Rita Ponessa, Bill Clark, and Ellen & Dave Nolan. They all did a wonderful job getting it all set up and organized.
Residents old and new came out and mingled with each other under a beautiful, sunny sky. New friendships were made and old ones reacquainted. All the children on the block had a great time playing ball, throwing water balloons, and riding in the tractor.
Everyone who came contributed food or drink and it was such a success that next year's party plans are already in the works!
