The Cornwall All-Star Major boys team defeated Washingtonville on Wednesday with a score of 9-4 in a game held in Wallkill.
Donald Malone pitched five innings, letting up one run and striking out three batters. Alex Cruz and Aidan Alvarez went three for four with an RBI. Sam Fleischman hit a two-run homer and Chris Bauer went four for four.
The team will play again on Saturday at 10 a.m. in Mamakating.
The Junior Boys baseball team defeated New Windsor 7 to 2 on Wednesday. Pitcher Jimmy Patterson struck out seven batters and got two hits.
Dillon Merola had two hits and three RBIs and Casey Kerdesky had two hits and one RBI.
The girl’s Major softball team won another game on Wednesday night, defeating the town of Newburgh.
On Tuesday, the team defeated New Windsor, 10-0, in a game in which Jackie Galati had three singles and two RBIs. Megan DeGroat and Alex Jurgens each had RBI singles.
The girls Junior softball team won against Wallkill on Tuesday by a score of 16-1.
Emily Casey pitched a one-hitter and Megan Staudle had two hits and three RBIs. Samantha Catalanotto had two hits and one RBI and Sammy Krause added two RBI for Cornwall.
