General News: Be An Advocate for the Elderly and Infirmed

HANDS ON! THE HUDSON VALLEY Is Seeking Concerned Orange and Sullivan County Citizens.
Volunteers are needed to be trained as advocates for residents living in local Nursing Homes and Adult Homes. The Hudson Valley Ombudsman Program is seeking caring individuals who can contribute approximately 4 hours per week to help identify and resolve resident concerns.
OMBUDSMAN VOLUNTEERS receive 36 hours of FREE advocacy training by Hands On! The Hudson Valley and are then certified by the New York State Office for the Aging. Training dates begin June 4.
