The National Weather Service has issued a flood warning for Orange County as a result of runoff and melting snow. Waters are expected to crest in the area in the early evening on Wednesday.
At 3 p.m. the waters of the Moodna creek in Mountainville had spilled over their banks in the area of the drinking water wells. Floods in that area last April forced the Cornwall-on-Hudson water department to shut down the water until it could be tested for contamination.
Today's rain and resulting high waters have not reached the levels they did last year, when this house on Otterkill Road was flooded.
