General News: Randazzo to Launch Assembly Bid on Sunday
February 07, 2008
Former Cornwall supervisor Richard Randazzo, a Democrat, plans a formal announcement of his candidacy for New York State Assembly on Sunday, February 10.
Randazzo, who served as supervisor for twenty years, has been expected to challenge current assembly member Nancy Calhoun, a Republican, for her seat representing the 96th District. He narrowly lost the race for the seat in 2006.
Randazzo will launch his bid for the office at Woody's All-Natural Burger restaurant on Quaker Avenue in Cornwall. His slogan is "2008 is the Crossroad for Change."
Larry Delarose, a Democrat, has also announced his run for the seat.
