Tess McVan, a first grader at Cornwall Elementary School, donated her blonde tresses to the Locks of Love program after cutting her long ponytail off on Friday,
Tess, who recently turned seven, had her hair cut and styled by Jenn at the Main Street Cutters.
Locks of Love is a public non-profit organization that provides custom-made hairpieces to financially disadvantaged children under age 18 suffering from long-term medical hair loss. Each hairpiece uses 6 to 10 donated ponytails.
