General News: Cornwall Man Faces Burglary, Assault Charges

An unruly man kicked out the rear window of a Cornwall police cruiser early Sunday after he was picked up for starting a fight at a private residence, according to Cornwall police.
Police chief Todd Hazard reports that officers were called to a residence on Erin Court for a domestic dispute around 5 a.m. Officers found a 22-year-old male who was being restrained by the residents after he allegedly broke into the home and attacked his ex-girlfriend and another subject.
Police later charged the unidentified male with second degree burglary, a class C felony, third degree assault, a class A misdemeanor, and third degree criminal mischief, a class E felony.
The man was arraigned and sent to Orange County jail in lieu of $5,000 bail.
