Dave Halvorsen was sworn in on Tuesday evening as the new superintendent of the Cornwall-on-Hudson Department of Public Work. He has served as the acting superintendent since early October, following the retirement of former DPW head Bob Gilmore.
Halvorsen has worked with the department for twenty years.
Cornwall-on-Hudson mayor Joseph Gross said the board voted to make Halvorsen the superintendent at an executive session last week. “He deserved to be promoted permanently,” Gross said.
