General News: Learn to Conserve Energy in 2008

Why not start the new year off by learning how you can save energy, water and money in your home?
This month, Orange county is offering two free workshops with tips on how to conserve energy and reduce utility bills.
Not only will attendees learn new skills to save as much as 10% on their utility expenses, lunch / dinner will be offered at each location beginning 30 minutes prior to the beginning of each workshop. All attendees will receive a free energy and water conservation toolkit that includes valuable tools designed for easy installation.
The first workshop will be held on January 9, 2008, from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Thrall Library, located at 11-19 Depot Street, Middletown, N.Y. The second workshop will be held on January 10, 2008 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM and 6:30 PM to 7:30 PM at the First Presbyterian Church located at 60 Sussex Street, Port Jervis, N.Y.
In addition to the Energy Workshops, the County of Orange has developed a “Resource Guide for Energy Services”.
