General News: 8th-Grade CCD Students Give from the Heart

A group of eighth-grade students who attend CCD classes at St. Thomas’s Catholic church generated some holiday cheer this year by donating gifts to Orange County Safe Homes Holiday project.
CCD teacher Dina Cavazza says that the teenage boys and girls put a lot of effort into the community service project, purchasing gifts, wrapping them and making beautiful cards for two families.
Cavazza says this is the second year that her class has participated in the project. “Out kids always put so much effort and care into this project,” she wrote in an email note. “It teaches them to help others who are in need.”
