General News: DPW Car Totaled in Accident
February 27, 2007
The village department of public works has a new, used vehicle to replace one that was destroyed in an accident at the DPW last week.
The green Dodge Neon car, along with two trucks belonging to the department, were damaged when snow fell off the roof of the DPW building after last Wednesday’s storm. The snow fell with such impact that the roof of the Neon caved in, according to the DPW’s Arlene Roberts.
The car was totaled by the accident and was replaced by a Ford Explorer that had been used by the assistant fire chief.
Assistant code enforcer Bill Lee will drive the 4-wheel drive Explorer when he visits construction sites.
