General News: Schools Start Holiday Concert Season

The holiday concert series in the schools officially opened on Tuesday evening with a concert by students at Cornwall-on-Hudson elementary students in the auditorium. On Wednesday, elementary students at Willow Avenue will perform holiday tunes for their friends and family.
Friday evening promises a rousing concert by a variety of performers at Cornwall High school. The CCHS Orchestra, Concert Choir, Concert Band, Women's Choir, Jazz Ensemble and Mixed Chorus will all be presenting their holiday songs in a 7 p.m. concert that is open to the public.
The music tradition continues next week, with Lee Road elementary students holding their winter concert on Tuesday, followed by an art show and band and choral concert by fifth and sixth graders at the middle school on Wednesday. The last school group to perform will be the seventh and eighth grade students who perform on December 18
