General News: Six Candidates File for March Election

Six people have filed petitions in their run for public office in the village of Cornwall-on-Hudson. The deadline for filing was today, February 13.
Village clerk Jeanne Mahoney says that she received petitions from four candidates for two trustee seats. They are from first-time candidates Rick Gioia and Charles Moore as well as from incumbents Mark Edsall and William Fogarty.
In addition, Mahoney received two petitions for the mayor's seat, one from Joseph J. Gross and one from the current mayor, Edward Moulton.
The election will be held on Tuesday, March 20. Absentee ballots will be available from the village clerk.
