General News: Village Fire Dept. Wins Awards

The Storm King Fire Engine Company #2 picked up two awards at the annual Orange County Volunteer Firemen’s Association parade last Saturday in New Windsor.
The fire company’s hand-pump truck won first place for best appearing antique in the parade. The company also won first place for best appearing aerial truck.
The department’s ladies auxiliary won third place in the Ladies Class B competition.
SKFE chief Jeff Armitage said the department couldn’t have gotten all its equipment to the competition without the assistance of Quality Towing.
