General News: Village Summer Playground

May 12, 2017

Village Summer Recreation Program starts July 5

The Village of Cornwall-on-Hudson will operate its Summer Recreation Program for six weeks, from July 5 through Aug. 11.

The program runs from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Monday through Friday at Cornwall-on-Hudson Elementary school.

The program is open to children who will enter grades K-7 in the fall.

The recreation program offers games, sports, arts and crafts, swimming, special activities, and field trips.

Registration will be held from 10 a.m. to noon on June 10th and from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. on June 12th in the Village Hall Board Room. Parents and guardians must bring a form of identification indicating their address. They must also prove an up-to-date immunization record from their children's health provider.

Jennifer Borland is returning as the director and Jenna Park, a counselor for several years, is the assistant director.

The fee for Cornwall-on-Hudson residents is $150 per child ($325 maximum per family). The cost for non-village residents is $250 per child. The field trips, which require additional fees, include Storm King Art Center, Splashdown, Tarsio Bowling Lanes and the Storm King Engine Firemen’s Fair.

For further information, call Village Hall at 845-534-4200.
