Arrests

07/27/18 Mark H Doctoroff, age 57, of Pleasant Valley, NY was arrested and charged with aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle in the 3rd degree and an unlicensed driver charge.
07/25/18 Christopher J Thurman, age 28, of Morristown, NJ was arrested and charged with harassment in the 2nd degree and for a bench warrant.
07/27/18 Richard L Nielson, age 29, of New Windsor, Ny was arrested and charged with burglary in the 2nd degree, criminal mischief in the 2nd degree and petit larceny.
08/02/18 A 25 yr old male from Cornwall, NY was arrested and charged with obstruction of breathing, coercion in the 2nd degree and assault in the 3rd degree.
08/03/18 Wendell Wiggins, age 37 of Highland Mills, Ny was arrested on a bench warrant.
08/04/18 A 31 yr old male from Washington DC was arrested and charged with possession of a controlled substance in the 7th degree.
08/04/18 A 37 yr old male from Cornwall, NY was arrested and charged with suspended registration and no/exp insurance.
08/06/18 Meghan Jean Conley, age 26, of Cornwall, NY was arrested and charged with criminal mischief in the 4th degree.
08/08/18 Dylan M Judson, age 39, of Wallkill, NY was arrested and charged with public lewdness and exposure of person after he was observed masturbating in a waiting room at a Doctor’s office.
08/10/18 A 41 yr old male from Harriman, NY was arrested and charged with aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle in the 3rd degree.


Incidents
07/23/18 Police remove a tree limb from Rt 32 North.
07/23/18 Police humanely dispatch an injured groundhog on Mailler Avenue.
07/23/18 Police respond to a residence on a report from another Police Dept and take guns into evidence and place in locker.
07/24/18 A caller stated that when she went to pick up her son from summer school at the high school he told her that he was approached by a strange man asking him if he had any drugs on him. The subject fitting the description is now panhandling in five corners.
07/26/18 Police humanely dispatch an injured buck on Rt 9W N.
07/28/18 Youths were caught ringing doorbells on Roe Ave. The youths apologized.
07/30/18 A dog was found near a nursery on Rt 32 and was brought to Woodbury Police dept.
07/31/18 A subject sold a $5k painting to a person in TX using a credit cardd. The person cancelled the credit transaction but kept the painting. The subject reported the incident to a local Police dept in TX as well.
08/01/18 A caller reported a bear sighting on Smokey Lane.
08/02/18 A subject turned in a Gucci wallet found by the traffic circle. Owner located and property returned.
08/05/18 A caller reported a burglary. A 60” tv and xbox were taken from a residence on Jackson Ave.
08/07/18 A caller advised that she left her purse at Dunlin donuts, went back to retrieve it and the staff gave it back to her. Her wallet and cash were missing and she asked to view footage from the 5 security cameras but was refused.
She was advised that she may have misplaced it.
08/08/18 A subject turned in a wallet she found container credit cards. bank cards and cash. The bank was notified to help locate the owner.
08/08/18 A caller reported that a black bear was walking down Sycamore.
08/10/18 Two bear sightings reported, Mineral Springs Rd and Old Rt 32.
08/10/18 A caller reported a loose German Shepherd on Willow Ave. Police unable to locate owner, dog transported to Walden Humane Society.
