Fatal Motor Vehicle Accident Rt 9W just north of Old Rt 9w
On Thursday December 22, 2016 at 6:45pm The New Windsor Police Department responded to a single vehicle motor vehicle accident on Rt 9w just north of Old Rt 9w. Upon arrival officers discovered the vehicle had gone off the road and struck a tree. The sole occupant of the vehicle the driver was pronounced dead at the scene. The victim’s identity is being withheld pending further investigation and notification to family members. At this time the accident is currently under investigation by the New Windsor Police Department Accident Reconstruction Team and Detective Division. Police are asking if anybody witnessed the accident to please contact the New Windsor Police Department Detective Division at 845-565-7000.
