Special Meeting on Tax Levy Limit

The Town Board of Cornwall will hold a public hearing on the 29th of October, 2014, at 6:45 pm at Town Hall, 183 Main St. Cornwall, NY on proposed Local Law No. 4 of the Year 2014 entitled: "A Local Law to Override the Tax Levy Limit Established in General Municipal Law §3-C".
The local law proposes to override the limit on the amount of real property taxes that may be levied by the Town and to allow the Town to adpot a budget for the 2015 fiscal year that requires a real property tax levy in excess of the "tax levy limit" as defined by General Municipal Law §3-C.
