On Saturday, July 26 at 10 a.m. the Hudson Highlands Nature Museum presents Snakes Alive! This special snake program will confirm that snakes are indeed awesome animals, helpful to the environment and very misunderstood. Join environmental educators Pam Golben, Alicia Ocana and James Farkas. Snakes play an important role in the balance of our ecosystem; an adult Black Rat snake can consume over 200 rodents a year! This program is being held at the Wildlife Education Center, 25 Boulevard, Cornwall-on-Hudson. Come get a close-up look at these reptiles amazing adaptations and learn how to identify snakes that live in the Hudson Valley. There will be live snakes to observe plus snake artifacts available for hands-on interaction. For adults with or without children and for children ages 5 and up. Admission: Adults, $7, Children, $5.
